When Tinker Bell Met the Venus of Sarab
Two days at Walnut Creek Oktoberfest, September 25 and 26 — and on Saturday afternoon, six storybook characters stopped by the table to pose with The Oldest Venus and Shahdad. Thank you to every family who came to say hello.
Walnut Creek Oktoberfest ran on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, 2026, and the Tiny Time Traveler books were there for both days. Thank you to every family who stopped at the table, turned the pages, asked questions, and took a story home.
Friday Evening
We set up under the tent on Friday with all six books in the series, the boxed sets, and the tall orange banner with Grandpa on it.
Saturday Afternoon: Some Very Special Visitors
On Saturday afternoon, Rapunzel, Tinker Bell, Peter Pan, Anna, Elsa and Snow White came by the booth. They picked up The Oldest Venus (Book 5) and The Journey to the Ancient City of Shahdad (Book 4) and posed for photos. It is not every day that a fairy holds up a book about an 8,000-year-old clay figurine from western Iran.
Missed Us?
There is one more chance this weekend. On Sunday, September 27, the books will be at the Roya Foundation's Mehregan Festival, the Persian autumn celebration, from 11 AM to 6 PM at San Ramon Central Park. It is free to the public.
